Question : 93 of 271
Marks: +1, -0
x2x6+a6\frac{x^2}{\sqrt{x^6+a^6}}
Solution:
Let I=∫x2x6+a6 dxI=\int \frac{x^2}{\sqrt{x^6+a^6}}\,dx =∫x2(x3)2+(a3)2 dx=\int \frac{x^2}{\sqrt{(x^3)^2+(a^3)^2}}\,dx
Put x3=t⇒3x2 dx=dtx^3 = t \Rightarrow 3x^2\,dx = dt
∴I=13∫dtt2+(a3)2\therefore I = \frac{1}{3} \int \frac{dt}{\sqrt{t^2+(a^3)^2}}
=13log⁡∣t+t2+a6∣+C= \frac{1}{3} \log \left| t + \sqrt{t^2+a^6} \right| + C
=13log⁡∣x3+a6+x6∣+C= \frac{1}{3} \log \left| x^3 + \sqrt{a^6+x^6} \right| + C
