Calculate the overall complex dissociation equilibrium constant for the Cu(NH3)42+\mathrm{Cu}(\mathrm{NH}_3)_4^{2+} ion, given that β4\beta_4 for this complex is 2.1×10132.1 \times 10^{13}.
Solution:  
The overall dissociation constant is the reciprocal of overall stabilityconstant i.e. 1β4\frac{1}{\beta_4}.
Overall dissociation constant = 12.1×1013\frac{1}{2.1 \times 10^{13}}
=4.7×1014=4.7 \times 10^{-14}
