(a) Maximum energy of X-ray photon = Maximum energy of an accelerated electron
hvmaxhv_{\text{max}} = eV
∴ vmaxv_{\text{max}} = eVh\frac{\mathrm{eV}}{h} = 1.6×10−19×30×1036.63×10−34\frac{1.6 \times 10^{-19} \times 30 \times 10^3}{6.63 \times 10^{-34}} = 7.24 × 101810^{18} Hz
(b) λmin\lambda_{\text{min}} = cvmax\frac{c}{v_{\text{max}}} = 3×1087.24×1018\frac{3 \times 10^8}{7.24 \times 10^{18}} = 0.0414 × 10−1910^{-19} = 0.0414 nm
