We have, L.H.S.= sinxsinycosx+cosy\frac{\sin x - \sin y}{\cos x + \cos y}
= 2cos(x+y2)sin(xy2)2cos(x+y2)cos(xy2)\frac{2\cos\left(\frac{x+y}{2}\right)\sin\left(\frac{x-y}{2}\right)}{2\cos\left(\frac{x+y}{2}\right)\cos\left(\frac{x-y}{2}\right)} = sin(xy2)cos(xy2)\frac{\sin\left(\frac{x-y}{2}\right)}{\cos\left(\frac{x-y}{2}\right)} = tan (xy2)\left(\frac{x-y}{2}\right) = R.H.S.
