Question : 18 of 74
Marks: +1, -0
Passing through (2,23)(2, 2\sqrt{3}) and inclined with the x-axis at an angle of 75°.
Solution:
We know that the equation of a line with slope m and passing through the point (x0,y0)(x_0, y_0) is given by (y – y0y_0) = m(x – x0x_0)
Here,m = tan 75° = 2+ 3\sqrt{3}, x0x_0 = 2, y0y_0 = 2 3\sqrt{3}
Hence, required equation is (y - 232\sqrt{3}) = (2 + 3\sqrt{3}) (x - 2)
⇒ y - 232\sqrt{3} = 2x + 3x\sqrt{3}x - 4 - 232\sqrt{3}(2+3)x(2+\sqrt{3})x - y - 4 = 0
