Question : 12 of 74
Marks: +1, -0
A line passes through (x1,y1)(x_1, y_1) and (h, k). If slope of the line is m, show that k – y1y_1 = m (h – x1x_1).
Solution:
A line passes through (x1,y1)(x_1, y_1) and (h, k). Also, the slope of the line is m.
So, m = ky1hx1\frac{k-y_1}{h-x_1} ⇒ (k – y1y_1) = m(h – x1x_1).
