Solution:  
We have, - 27\frac{2}{7} , x , −72-\frac{7}{2} are in G.P.
∴ x−27\frac{x}{-\frac{2}{7}} = −72x\frac{-\frac{7}{2}}{x} ⇒ x2x^{2} ⇒ x = ± 1
