How many 3-digit even numbers can be made using the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, if no digit is repeated?
Solution:
For 3-digit even numbers unit place can be filled by 2, 4, 6 i.e in 3 ways. Then the remaining two places can be filled in
P 2 ways.
∴ The required 3–digit even numbers = 3 ×
P 2 = 60
∴ The required 3–digit even numbers = 3 ×
