Question : 5 of 71
Marks: +1, -0
centre (–a, –b) and radius a2b2\sqrt{a^2-b^2}
Solution:
Here h = –a, k = –b and r = a2b2\sqrt{a^2-b^2}
The equation of circle is, (xh)2+(yk)2(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2 = r2r^2
(x+a)2+(y+b)2(x+a)^2+(y+b)^2 = (a2b2)2\left(\sqrt{a^2-b^2}\right)^2
x2+a2x^2+a^2 + 2ax + y2+b2y^2+b^2 + 2by = a2b2a^2-b^2x2+y2x^2+y^2 + 2ax + 2by + 2b22b^2 = 0
