Question : 13 of 52
Marks: +1, -0
- i
Solution:
Let z = –i = 0 – i Then z\overset{-}{z} = 0 + i …(i)
and z2|z|^2 = (0)2+(1)2(0)^2+(1)^2 = 1
∴ The multiplicative inverse of – i is given by z1z^{-1} = zz2\frac{\overset{-}{z}}{|z|^2} = 0+i1\frac{0+i}{1} = i
(By using (i) and (ii))
