Ear :
1. Ear is a hearing organ. It converts sound waves to sound vibration and finally to sound impulse which is picked up by the nerves, transmitted to auditory nerve and then sent to brain.
2. Ear is a balancing organ.
The semicircular canals of the inner ear helps to maintain dynamic equilibrium whereas the utriculus and sacculus help to maintain state equilibrium.
