State the ratio of wavelengths of PP and RR .
Solution:  
Let frequency of vibration RR be ff . Then the frequency of vibration PP is 3f3f .
    fR=f   and   fp=3f\therefore \;\; f_{R}=f \;\text{ and }\; f_p=3f
But     f  1λ\;\; f \propto \; \frac{1}{\lambda}
The ratio of wavelength of PP and RR i.e.,
λP:λR=1:3.\lambda_{P}:\lambda_{R}=1:3.
