Sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid [type of salts formed]
Solution:
Sulphuric acid formed two types of salt (i) Normal salt and (ii) Acidic salt whereas hydrochloric acid formed only normal salts. Normal salts are formed by the complete replacement of the ionisable hydrogen atoms of an acid but acid salts are formed by the partial replacement of the ionisable hydrogen atoms of a polybasic acid.
e.g. Normal salts :
‌HCl+NaOH→NaCl+H2O
‌H2SO4+2‌NaOH→Na2SO4+2H2O
Acidic salt :
‌H2SO4+NaOH→NaHSO4+H2O
‌H2SO4+NaCl‌
