Question : 79
Total: 86
What mass of copper hydroxide is precipitated by using 200‌gm of sodium hydroxide?
[H=1,O=16,Na=23,S=32,Cu=64‌ ] ‌
Solution:
2‌NaOH+CuSO4→‌Na2SO4+Cu(OH)2↓
2[23+16+1]‌[64+16×2+2×1]
=2[40]‌‌=64+32+2
=80‌=98

If 80‌gm‌NaOH produces
=98‌gm‌ of ‌Cu(OH)2
then 200‌gm‌NaOH produces
‌=‌
98
80
×200

‌=245‌gm
