The mass of 11.2 litres of a certain gas at s.t.p. is 24 g. Find the gram molecular mass of the gas.
Solution:  
The mass of 22.4  l22.4\;\text{l} of a gas at STP is equal to its gram molecular mass.
11.2 litres of gas at STP weighs =24  g=24\;\text{g}
∴22.4\therefore 22.4 litres of gas at STP weigh
  =  2411.2×22.4\;=\;\frac{24}{11.2} \times 22.4
  =48  gm\;=48\;\text{gm}
