Question : 11 of 85
Marks: +1, -0
Calculate the mass of Calcium that will contain the same number of atoms as are present in 3.2gm3.2 \mathrm{gm} of Sulphur.
[Atomic masses: S=32,Ca=40S=32, C a=40 ]
Solution:
32gm   of Sulphur     =1mole32 \mathrm{gm}\;\text{ of Sulphur }\;\;=1 \mathrm{mole}
∴    3.2gm   of Sulphur     =  132×3.2\therefore\;\;3.2 \mathrm{gm}\;\text{ of Sulphur }\;\;=\;\frac{1}{32} \times 3.2
  =0.1moles\;=0.1 \mathrm{moles}
At. Mass of Calcium =40=40
∴\therefore mass of 0.1 mole of  Ca\ \mathrm{Ca}
=40×0.1=4 gm=40 \times 0.1 = 4 \ \mathrm{gm}
