Solution:  
Add NaOH\mathrm{NaOH} solution to both the solutions. White ppt. observed with Zn(NO3)2\mathrm{Zn}(\mathrm{NO}_3)_2 solution which is soluble in excess of NaOH\mathrm{NaOH}. Whereas white ppt. observed with Ca(NO3)2\mathrm{Ca}(\mathrm{NO}_3)_2 which is sparingly soluble in water.
