Question : 18 of 20
Marks: +1, -0
In the given figure, a circle is centred at (1, 2). The diameter of the circle is
Solution:
Radius r = distance between center (1, 2) and origin (0, 0).
Diameter D = 2r
Distance (d) = (x2−x1)2+(y2−y1)2\sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2-y_1)^2}
r=(1−0)2+(2−0)2r = \sqrt{(1-0)^2 + (2-0)^2}
r=12+22=1+4=5r = \sqrt{1^2+2^2} = \sqrt{1+4} = \sqrt{5}
Diameter (D) = 2×5=252 \times \sqrt{5} = 2\sqrt{5}
The diameter of the circle is 25.2\sqrt{5}.
