In the given circuit determine the value of :
(i) total resistance of the circuit
(ii) current flowing through the ammeter.
Solution:  
(i) Total series resistance =10 ohm+50 ohm==10\ \mathrm{ohm}+50\ \mathrm{ohm}= 60 ohm60\ \mathrm{ohm}
1Total resistance=130+160=360\frac{1}{\text{Total resistance}} = \frac{1}{30} + \frac{1}{60} = \frac{3}{60}
Total resistance =603 ohm=20 ohm=\frac{60}{3}\ \mathrm{ohm}=20\ \mathrm{ohm}
(ii) Current, I=VR=620=0.3 AI = \frac{V}{R} = \frac{6}{20} = 0.3\ \mathrm{A}
