UP TET Exam Previous and Model Papers

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a state-level exam conducted once a year to enable candidates gain eligibility for primary (Classes 1-5) and upper primary (Classes 6-8) level teachers in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The exam is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). UPTET exam is conducted in two shifts for two papers - I and II. UPTET paper-I is conducted for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1-5. On the other hand, UPTET paper-II is for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 6-8. Candidates who wish to become teachers of Classes 1-8 need to appear in both the papers. Both the UPTET papers are conducted on the same day in offline mode as pen-and-paper based tests.

Eligibility

UPTET selection process includes the following stages:

Written exam: UPTET exam consists of two papers. Paper-I needs to be given by aspirants who plan to teach classes I-V. Paper-II needs to be given by candidates who plan to teach classes VI-VIII. Candidates who plan to teach classes I-VIII need to appear for both the papers.

UPTET result: UPTET result is announced by the exam conducting authority on the official website of the exam. Candidates scoring minimum 60 per cent marks in the written test are declared UPTET qualified.
UPTET eligibility certificate Candidates qualifying the written test are issued an eligibility certificate by the exam authority. Candidates having the certificate are eligible to apply for teaching jobs in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The validity of UPTET eligibility certificate is five years.
